Wilton Children's Theater Alumnae in Theater

Meet WCT alumna Natalie Michaels!

Hey guys! I’m Natalie Michaels. I was so fortunate to be involved with WCT when I was in 6th and 8th grade. I’ve been performing in theater since I was 6, but it wasn’t until I played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz with WCT that I was sure that I wanted to pursue performing as my career. It was my first leading role and my first look into what it took to be an actor. It became very clear to me during that show that being a singer and an actress was truly my passion. I was able to continue growing with WCT when I was cast as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, and got to tap dance in a musical for the first time. After that I had the chance to play Jean in “Brigadoon”, Rapunzel in “Into the Woods”, and Marian in “The Music Man” at Wilton High School, while simultaneously taking acting and singing classes in NYC. I went to Wake Forest University and got my degree in Theater Arts and Vocal Performance. The semester after graduating, I studied at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT as a part of the National Music Theater Institute in Fall 2015. Since then, I’ve been performing in regional theaters and cabaret venues across the country, including Cedar Point Amusement Park, Texas Musical Drama, and the Greenbrier Resort. I most recently made my Off-Broadway debut playing Private Jayne/Miss Benson in “It Came From Beyond” at St Luke’s Theatre, Manhattan and played movie star Clara Bow in an immersive musical in Coney Island set in 1918. I’m looking forward to finding my next gig and performing at various cabaret venues here in the city in the meantime!

Meet WCT alumna Annabelle Fox!  (www.annabellefox.com)

Hey my name is Annabelle Fox! Wilton Children's Theater changed my life. I had the amazing opportunity to play the title role of Annie in Annie in 2002. I was eleven and from that point on I knew I wanted to pursue a career in Musical Theater. The next year I was cast as Rosie Alvarez in Bye Bye Birdie. That specific director encouraged me to continue performing for as long as I loved it.  I'm pleased to say I still love it!

Following my years with WCT, I performed leading roles at Wilton High including Adelaide in Guys & Dolls and Little Red in Into the Woods. I graduated in 2010 and went to Belmont University in Nashville, TN where I received my BFA in Musical Theatre. Since 2014 I've worked professionally in and out of the city in many musicals, workshops, and plays on stages from the Paper Mill Playhouse to The Old Town Hall. My favorite roles have been Magnolia (Showboat), Chava (Fiddler on the Roof), and Kathy Selden (Singin' in the Rain).

I'm currently performing in the lead role of Becky in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? with my husband at The Alhambra Theatre in Florida. Once this contract ends, we'll head back to our apartment in New York City and begin rehearsals for our upcoming Johnny & the Devil's Box concert at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC.
